You’ll stay in a luxurious seaside resort on the Adriatic, sight see with local guides, and long time friends. You'll
visit markets, meet local chefs and artisans, participate in 2 cooking classes, a wine tasting, Italian oil and
vinegar tasting with the executive chef and owner of one of Italy's most famous family owned restaurants,
the "Trattoria Laguna."

You'll spend a day on a private boat touring the islands of Torcello, Burano and Murano. And, if you’re so inclined
attend an opera at the famous Venetian Opera House “La Fenice”.

You don’t have to cook to come on this trip, just being a lover of good food and wine qualifies you. If you do want
to learn, you will learn many secrets of Italian cooking, and the Italian way of life... the basis for living
“La Dolce Vita”

Sight see, souvenir shop until your hearts content or just walk and relax along the miles of sandy beaches located
just steps from your hotel room. Enjoy the amenities of a world class spa with massage, facials, body wraps, and
five different mineral salt baths outside overlooking the Adriatic Sea. By week's end you'll feel like a true

Looking for several more couples who want an incredible travel experience centered around the food and wine of Italy.
This very unique tour has been designed by Olindo Ballarin, owner of the Trattoria Laguna in Cavallino, and the
Honorary President of the Unione Italiana Ristoratori (URI) and Chef Dawn Bause owner of Cooking with Dawn
Tours, LLC.   Together they have put together a tour that will please all of the senses through food, wine and art. In
fact the URI is based on what they call "Art Hospitality" providing the customer with exceptional eating experiences
pairing regional specialities with regional wines and oils, enriching the whole experience with artwork by masters of
Italian contemporary art for each of the restaurant members of the URI. This group of restaurateurs is among the
leaders of culinary excellence in Italy today. The hotels, restaurants, and tours we will be taking are all first class and
places not frequented or experienced by many American travelers.
